Wellness, physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally
Come with me on my journey
In January I saw a cleanse being advertised all over the internet. I wont say the name of this product, you can go look it up if you wish, but I will say that I first saw it featured on the Steve Harvey Talk Show. He talked about using it as well featured a few guests, before and after photos of them losing a whole lot of weight in as little as three weeks. Naturally I was intrigued and decided to buy said cleanse. I had no idea what I was in for.
I did the cleanse and it worked but what's more surprising is what happened in the first week. Let be start by saying that you’re allowed to eat during this cleanse, the only caveat is that it has to be raw fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds. Needless to say, I wasn't sure how I was going to survive this. But the hardest part was the first three days, after that your creativity kicks in and you start thinking of new ways to to prepare raw food dishes. By the seventh day, I started noticing that not only was I feeling lighter (bloating gone, bowel became regular), but I also felt lighter emotionally. Dare I say, I even began to feel happier, for reasons I could not explain. By the end of the 21 days, I lost 15 lbs without working out or starving myself, the cravings were gone and I unintentionally discovered something called a non inflammatory diet.
Fast forward a few months later and a few minor slip ups, while reintroducing cooked foods back into my diet, even foods considered healthy, I soon noticed that I was having digestive issues. After visiting the various doctors and trying everything they suggested, which only worked temporarily, I decided to retry consuming mostly raw foods. I started to notice the same things happening like before, my mood changed and the bloating is gone. Not only that, I now have the energy I need to exercise. I'm taking you on this journey with me as I attempt to shed at least 30 lbs. It's been about a month and I have already lost over 5 lbs. I will be checking my weight monthly but in between these posts will show you some of the steps I've taken while on this journey.
