Going Places is a platform created to make the world more accessible, especially for Black and Brown travelers. We curate beautiful, meaningful travel experiences with a focus on connection, confidence, and culture. Our goal is simple: to encourage and empower more people from underrepresented communities to explore the world.
Our mission is to showcase a variety of breathtaking travel destinations while igniting a passion for exploration. In the United States, the landscape of international travel reveals stark disparities that highlight the differences between Caucasian travelers and those from Black, Brown, and other marginalized communities. This inequality deepens when we consider individuals from lower socioeconomic households, who often face even more hurdles in pursuing adventure. One of the most significant obstacles is fear, the fear of encountering prejudices and the discomfort of feeling like an outsider in unfamiliar places. We’re here to change that.
We believe that travel is more than a luxury, it’s a life-changing opportunity. It opens your eyes, shifts your perspective, and provides stories you’ll carry forever. But it can also feel intimidating when you don’t see yourself represented or if your safety and acceptance are a concern. This is why Going Places exists. We want everyone to feel seen, supported, and excited about every step of their journey. While we recognize that your first international trip might not eliminate all your fears, we can affirm that embarking on a journey, especially one that takes you beyond borders, will dramatically shift your outlook on life.

We curate travel guides & opportunities for international travel. We spotlight destinations that are safe, welcoming, and enriching.
